Sonda Pro / Biometric Solutions

On March 26 the Sonda team is celebrating its 30-th anniversary!

30 years ago a few like-minded people united in a group and decided to develop an unusual product - the identification system based on fingerprint.

New Sonda’s algorithms on FVC

Sonda submitted two new algorithms on the regular Fingerprint Verification Competition - the advanced fingerprint algorithm and the algorithm of palmprint identification. Results were published on July 14 for fingerprint algorithm and on July 18 for palmprint algorithm.

Sonda to meet the PF of Argentina

On July 13 the Sonda Technologies Ltd. specialists had a meeting with the Argentinian police delegation headed by Mr. Guillermo Berra, Deputy Minister and Auditor General of the Security Service of the Interior Ministry of the Buenos Aires province.

Sonda's Biometric Solutions

Sonda’s Real Time Identification technology was developed for rapid confirmation or identification of a person by fingerprint matching in multi-million databases. Access to the system database is available from any computer via Internet (no special software required) or from any mobile identification terminal. The technology is based on the special accelerating algorithms, advanced data structure and unique fingerprint templates. Databases are formed by importing fingerprints from any system of any producer using international data-sharing protocols ANSI / NIST of FBI and Interpol versions.

High capabilities of Sonda’s fingerprint matching algorithms have been repeatedly confirmed through independent testing conducted by International Biometric Association and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) - SlapSeg04, Fingerprint Verification Competition (FVC), Minutiae Interoperability Exchange Test (MINEX), Fingerprint Vendor Technology Evaluation 2012 (FpVTE-12).

According to FpVTE-12 (Fingerprint Vendor Technology Evaluation) conducted by NIST and sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in all tests Sonda held position in the top five together with three biometric giants - NEC (Japan), Morpho / Safran (France) and 3M Cogent (USA).

Sonda's fingerprint matching algorithms provide high identification accuracy with optimal searching speed and computational resources for most finger combinations due to proprietary IP-protected model describing fingerprint image. This model is based on fingerprint pattern topology and provide Sonda’s identification method great tolerance to nonlinear deformation, image rescaling, as well as displacement and rotations of fingerprints. Sonda has over 60 registered patents, 8 of them are key patents.
