New Sonda’s algorithms on FVC

Sonda submitted two new algorithms on the regular Fingerprint Verification Competition - the advanced fingerprint algorithm and the algorithm of palmprint identification. Results were published on July 14 for fingerprint algorithm and on July 18 for palmprint algorithm.

Sonda to meet the PF of Argentina

On July 13 the Sonda Technologies Ltd. specialists had a meeting with the Argentinian police delegation headed by Mr. Guillermo Berra, Deputy Minister and Auditor General of the Security Service of the Interior Ministry of the Buenos Aires province.

CIS Interior Ministries to be armed with Sonda technology

The Real-Time Identification System was demonstrated as a matter of special pride of the Russian police at the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of internal Affairs of the CIS held in Dushanbe. The Real-Time Identification System is based on identification algorithm developed by Sonda Technologies company.

The scanner is designed for biometric identification systems with 2-, 4- and 10-finger registration. It captures two full fingerprints simultaneously.

It excludes the rolling procedure making the process of registration easier and faster. The fingers mixing up is practically impossible.

The unique сoncave prism captures 120° surface of a finger and provides high quality and accuracy. The fingerprint size is much larger than the area obtained with a flat prism scanner.

The scanner has compact and ergonomic design, comes with software and is ready for use right after installation.

The Sonda LS2FP is fully compliant with International standards.

Comparative tests of the fingerprints area obtained on LS2FP scanner and on the scanner with flat prism when applying 4 fingers at a time and singly.

  1. The fingerprints obtained on LS2FP allow to define on an average 36% more minutiae as compared with the fingerprints obtained on the flatbed scanner in 4x4x2 format.
  2. The fingerprints obtained on LS2FP allow to define on an average 22% more minutiae as compared with the fingerprints obtained on the flatbed scanner singly.

Using LS2FP scanner for registration allows more than to halve identification errors at large (45 degrees transversal 30 degrees longitudinal) inaccuracy of fingers application to sense surface of scanner.
